Following the viral success of a video showing club president Florentino Perez talking with a fan, Real Madrid are unlikely to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Manchester United squad is sick of Ronaldo and wants him out of Old Trafford this summer.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner made a request to leave the team last month and is still eager to put an end to his rejoining of the Red Devils from Juventus, barely one year earlier.

Ronaldo skipped United’s preseason tour of Thailand and Australia due to “family concerns,” although it is thought that he wants to sign with a Champions League team.

Cristiano Ronaldo makes his views on new Man Utd coach Benni McCarthy perfectly clear

He had barely trained for about 10 days prior to Sunday’s loss to Brighton, and as a result, lacked both match sharpness and experience with new manager Erik ten Hag‘s style and tactics.

This summer, he has been connected with a number of elite European teams, including his former employers Real Madrid, where Ronaldo enjoyed great success.

In 438 games, the 37-year-old, who will turn 38 in February, scored 450 goals and assisted his team in four Champions League victories and two La Liga crowns.

However, Perez seems to have put those rumors to rest when a club supporter’s Twitter video went viral on Thursday.

It featured the president of Real Madrid strolling through a hallway while high-fiving Real Madrid supporters, with one of them pleading with him to re-sign legendary Ronaldo.

‘Again? He’s 38 years old,” Perez said in Spanish, then turned and left.

Ronaldo‘s future with United is still up in the air; the club wants to hold onto him despite his desperate desire to play for a different team.

Ronaldo is resentful that United feels they cannot afford to lose their leading scorer from the previous campaign, especially considering their lack of options up top after using Christian Eriksen as a false nine against Brighton.

On Saturday, Ten Hag’s team will play again when they travel to Brentford.
